Play session at Ken Blacks Garage of Strength

Just a short play session with Ken's Stones and steel log. Never done a stone before and Ken encouraged I give it a go. After spending the day listening to Louie Simmons I was feeling strength through Osmosis and decided to give it a try. The stones weigh 170 and 240 lbs and let me say they are truly odd and the difference is huge in terms of weight and skill.

SWEET!!! I love that stuff, I trying to talk someone else into getting a tire so I can flip but don't have to keep it at my house. ;-) How was Louie?

The odds rock, they are indeed fun! Ken has a 600+ pound tire as well. did not flip this time but did some years ago with the MMA guys.

Louie, WOW! can I say I am stronger through osmosis! Lets just say that when Louie speaks I listen. He has the numbers to back the system, 100 times over. If you train athletes or just wnat to get strong then you should read his literature. If anything Box squat and use accomodating resistance and you will be stronger than ever.

Think this, I have only done straight DLs. expect twice of a 2 inch block, a couple rack days and that is it! At Westside, essentially they only pull of the ground on comp day. Meaning they use a ton of different methods to build the DL. I feel I can add 100lbs to my dl because of the seminar!

Man, sounds like money well spent! Let me know how the deads go and what kind of tricks you got up your sleeve. I don't have access to a power rack but I may be able to come up with something.
